File:Test Template Info-Icon - Version (2).svg Template documentation
This formats an example wikilink, to show how it would be entered in wiki markup. The first parameter is the link destination. E.g. Template:Tlc renders as Cookie, the wiki markup for the wikilink Cookie. If a second parameter is given, a piped link is shown. E.g. Template:Tlc renders as Biscuit, the markup for the wikilink Biscuit.
A third parameter, if supplied, is included as a suffix to demonstrate blended links; Template:Tlc produces Cookies, the wiki markup for Cookies.
The short name Template:Tlc ("example link, code") is chosen to be similar to the tlc template which produces similar output, but for template links.
I have a hard time believing such a template doesn't already exist, but my own searches and asking on the help desk hasn't turned one up, so it's worth creating. 71.41.210.146 (talk) 14:34, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
